Art Wave comes to the Ouse Valley

Between the 16th August and the 3rd September, artists across the Seahaven area will be opening up their studios, houses and exhibitions to the public. A few of these venues are in Newhaven. In this article, we will be talking about the upcoming open house on Hillcrest Road. Celebrated community artist, Carol "Dove" Havard will be opening up Harbour View Studios to members of the public.

The open events will allow you to get a great insight into how you can get involved with their pottery studio. You can even learn about how you can join the groups. Other opportunities during the events include:

  • Admire and buy some one-of-a-kind Abstract & Landscape paintings, drawings and prints
  • Buy stunning hand made cards that draw inspiration from the area around us
  • Come and enjoy the garden. Bring a picnic (refreshments will be available), pick up a pen or brush and take in the view of Seaford Bay and the South downs.
  • Learn about how you can get involved with Carol's community projects.

The open house events will be held on the 19th, 20th, 25th & 28th August as well as the 2nd & 3rd September between the hours of 11:00 & 17:00. 25 Hillcrest Road, Newhaven, BN9 9EE. Entry is free, refreshments available. You can get in touch with Carol Havard by emailing info@art-techniques.co.uk or visit the website art-techniques.co.uk.
